What this service is

Bank Code Lookup is an independent comparison site for UK and US bank identifiers. It is not a bank, not a payment institution, and not affiliated with any bank named here; nothing on it is financial advice. Identifiers are quoted from the institutions' own published pages with the date they were read, and the bank remains the authoritative source for its own details.

How we are paid

Answers to code questions are free. The money transfer services linked from this site pay us a referral fee when a reader opens an account with them; every such link is disclosed where it appears, and none of them changes what a bank's own page is quoted as saying.

The code index

The index and its CSV downloads are free to reuse with citation. Every entry carries the source URL it was read from and the date of that reading; if you find an entry that no longer matches the bank's page, write to us and it will be re-read rather than quietly edited.

No warranty

Identifiers change without notice and a quote here is only as current as its date. Confirm payment details with the person or business you are paying, through a channel you already trust, before you send money. We accept no liability for a payment made on the strength of a page here rather than on the strength of that confirmation.
